Age Verification Policy

NexSpark LLC · Last updated: June 5, 2026

NexSpark is an adults-only service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, complete a profile, be matched, communicate with other members, or make any payment. This policy explains how we confirm age and how we handle accounts we believe may belong to a minor.

Adults only — 18+. NexSpark is intended solely for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit anyone under the age of 18 to register or use the service, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

1. Minimum age requirement

Membership is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and legally able to enter into a binding contract. Where the applicable jurisdiction sets a higher minimum age for the use of an online dating or matchmaking service, that higher age applies. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Age declaration at registration

During registration, every applicant is required to enter their date of birth and affirmatively confirm that they are at least 18 years old. A user who enters a date of birth indicating they are under 18 is prevented from completing registration, and the attempt is recorded.

3. Verification before account activation

A date-of-birth declaration alone is not sufficient. Before a member can be matched, exchange messages, or make a payment, NexSpark requires identity and age verification through a trusted third-party verification provider. Depending on the check, this may include:

Members who have not passed identity and age verification do not receive introductions and cannot transact on the platform.

4. Handling of suspected underage accounts

Any account that we suspect, through verification results, member reports, or our own review, may belong to a person under 18 is suspended immediately pending verification. An account that cannot be verified as belonging to a person aged 18 or older is removed. Where we determine that a registrant is under 18, we delete the associated personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States.

5. Reporting a suspected minor

If you believe someone under 18 is using NexSpark, or that a member has misrepresented their age, report it to us at safety@nexspark.com. We review such reports promptly and take action up to and including removal of the account.

6. Data handling and records

Age and identity verification is performed by our third-party provider. We retain verification status and the minimum records necessary to demonstrate compliance and to operate the service; we do not retain identity-document images longer than necessary for verification and recordkeeping. How verification data is processed and retained is described further in our Privacy Policy.

7. Relationship to our other policies

This policy works together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Safety & Screening Disclosure, and Community Guidelines. Identity and age verification confirms that a member is who they claim to be and is at least 18; as explained in our Safety & Screening Disclosure, it is not a criminal background check and is not a guarantee of any member's character or conduct.
